Seek Justice Day

Saturday 25 March @ Christ Church Winchester

Hello Students!

Thanks for your interest in Karis Kids. On this page you can find lots of info about who we are, what we’re doing, and how you can get involved.

We’ve seen God do magnificent things over the last 16 years. I couldn’t do it justice in 15 minutes! So keep scrolling below and you’ll find more stories and videos. ⬇

I’ve also given you 3 different ways to respond at the bottom of this page. Or just email me at will.law@kariskids.org if you want to chat. I’d love to hear from you.

Blessings,

Will Law

The Model

Church to Church links

Christ Church is linked to St. Nicholas Church in Kalerwe [ka-lair-way] who serve their community in Kampala, Uganda.

The Christ Church link was first established in 2009 and was one of the early Link Churches when Karis Kids started 16 years ago in 2006. The church has also been significantly involved in the development of the primary school in Kalerwe.

We also have other church to church links and would love to build more.

Family to Family links

100% of the money given goes to supporting the families in Kampala.

It helps support…

  • school fees

  • beds with mosquito nets

  • supplementary food and household basics

  • medical expenses

  • pastoral support, career guidance and life skills training

Key Distinctives

  1. 100% of your donation helps your family
Private donors plus the Gift Aid on donations cover our operating costs, so 100% of your donation goes towards helping your family in Kampala.

  2. We support the whole family
Child sponsorship programmes can sometimes lead to family divisions. By sponsoring the whole family we help every child progress together.

  3. The local church do the work
We build relationship and give resources to empower the local church to rewrite the story of their community.
  1. Families grow to support themselves
We help each child break the cycle of poverty through education, opportunity and job training. This, in turn, helps families become self-sustaining.

  2. Two-way transformation
This is not a one-sided programme of social relief. God’s grace (Greek: charis) is at work in both UK and Ugandan families as we build his kingdom.

  3. We share Jesus
We share the good news of Jesus. And we see many respond to his love and give their lives to him.
