Kamapala situation
At the end of July, the 42 day lockdown restrictions were reviewed…
The curfew remains in place from 7pm to 5:30am, but people are able to move around more easily provided they are wearing a mask at all times, social distancing and using sanitisers. Schools remain closed indefinitely and churches are closed for a further 60 days.
There are severe consequences for not abiding by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The number of Covid cases and deaths continue to decline.
1.3% of the population have received a vaccine.
Pray for…
The Karis team (Ketrah, Solome, Steven, Aloysius) as they return to work in the office. Pray for their protection as they travel and mix with others and for Godly wisdom and discernment as they support the families.
Karis families — pray for those with small businesses struggling to survive; pray for the casual labourers unable to find work and the small food stallholders unable to operate.
The Church Community Mobilisers (Charles, Margaret, Steven, Teopista, Irene, Joannita) who are in regular contact with the families. Pray they are protected and blessed as they oversee the food distribution and look after the welfare of Karis families in their communities.
