The gift of a bed

We rejoice that 8 new families have joined the Karis family this year and are now linked with UK supporters.

When a family joins Karis Kids, they are provided with beds, bedding and mosquito nets. Below you can see the reaction of one of the carers on receiving her bed last month.

The carer said it was the first time she would sleep on a proper mattress in her life — and a new one at that!

She was abducted by rebels at 14 years of age, and has gone through terrible things since. She can’t believe she is beginning to “live like humans now.”
