Pray for Summer Camp
The UK team are off to Uganda, leaving this Wednesday (17th August) and returning on Sunday 28th August.
The team will be serving at this year’s Summer Camp. The theme for camp is ‘Hope alive — no matter what.’
Thank you to everybody who has given gifts, letters and clothes for us to take to Uganda. The packing and weighing of luggage has started!
Thank you also to Becky, Holly, Mandie, Maya, Megan, Louise, Sebastian and Wendy for responding to God’s call and volunteering to serve on the Summer Camp team. For the majority, it is their first time in Uganda or even Africa. Please pray for each one of them in the days leading up to Summer Camp as well as while we are there.
Please join us in prayer for the summer camp:
Visas to arrive promptly
Travel: Flights not to be cancelled; trouble free travel (from Heathrow via Doha to Entebbe and back) and all the luggage to arrive with us.
Health: Protection from Covid before we travel and the health of the team whilst in Uganda.
Training: For the success of the joint Summer Camp team training session on Friday 19th
Good relationships with the Ugandan Summer Camp team.
For the Uganda team as they continue the preparations in Kampala.
The Bible teachers and life skills leaders
That God would prepare the hearts and minds of the young people as they look forward to camp.
That God would use each one of us as his hands and voice to bless the adults and children we meet.
That more of the Karis youth will come to know Jesus as their Saviour.
