Ugandan supper

Who loves matoke and peanut sauce!?

Well, not everyone… but I sure do!

Following a chance encounter between a local Ugandan lady and Jo Hemming, the Leader at Winchester Vineyard Church (linked with St Johns’ Kamwokya), a plan was hatched for a Ugandan supper evening.

The Karis family supporters from Winchester Vineyard were invited to join together, share stories, encourage one another in their support, and taste the delights of Ugandan food first-hand.

The menu comprised a delicious fried chicken, chunks of goat meat, rice, matoke, and my favourite of all — peanut sauce!

The evening was a lively, sociable success. Our thanks to the chef, with hopes that this might be repeated in the future.
