COVID-19 in Uganda
There are 54 cases of COVID-19 in Uganda.
Transport is limited to the army and emergency vehicles. A permit is required for individuals to travel for medical reasons and these are difficult to get.
There is a curfew. People are only allowed to walk to nearest food supplier for basics between 6.30am and 7pm.
The government are providing some food handouts.

Karis Families
All the Karis families were contacted by the Karis team before the curfew came into place. At this point they are all okay.
Ketrah and Solome receive daily calls from the carers asking after their UK link families. They see the impact of coronavirus in the UK on the TV and are praying for us.
Food
The Karis carers sent messages of appreciation for the money given to them. We allocated money in place of the monthly food distribution, which could not go ahead because of the restrictions.
“I’ve bought beans, wheat flour, rice, maize flour, soap cooking oil and sugar.”
Karis Team
Each member of the team is now working from home. This brings with it challenges of having space to work and the distractions of children home from school.
Many of you will be having similar challenges!
