Emergency Appeal results

It is not our normal practice to send out general appeals for money. Our focus is on helping families become self-sustaining over time through faithful partnerships with UK families and groups. But, as you're aware we are not living in normal times, so we recently launched two emergency appeals.

Emergency Appeal #1

As a result of your generous giving for the first Emergency Appeal in the April update, we received over £10,000. This is already being used to cover additional food contributions, rent and medical needs as they arise for Karis families.

Emergency Appeal #2

Last week, Bishop Zac alerted us to the need of other families within the six link church communities. They were facing starvation and so we launched Emergency Appeal 2.

We have been overwhelmed by the response — £20,000 in less than a week!

As a result, the Karis team have been able to quickly mobilise food packages containing maize flour, rice, sugar and soap for 600 most needy families (that’s approximately 2,500 people).

You have no idea of how many people you have blessed today.

The vicars and pastoral teams have also received a ‘love gift’ to encourage them as we come alongside our brothers and sisters in their time of need.
