Small Business Training seminar

The Ugandan economy is recovering slowly after the lifting of Covid restrictions. Many of the families are struggling to re-establish their small businesses, despite support from Karis during the lockdown.

Last week at the Global Prayer meeting we heard how Kampala city authority has been removing illegal street traders and confiscating their stock.

Some of the Karis carers had been hawking goods in this way and so have suddenly lost their livelihood.

In response, this week the Karis team held a seminar on setting up and maintaining a small businesses to help the families in their journey to become self-sustaining.

This educational and interactive seminar was led by someone experienced in developing small businesses to alleviate poverty.

The seminar was well attended by 81of the Karis parents.
